A recent study comparing three different definitions of measurement area in thermal images from patients suspected of Raynaud´s phenomenon, found more cases when small instead of large areas of interest were used. Evaluation of thermograms from patients with suspected thoracic outlet syndrome revealed also more cases when small regions of interest have been defined.
